The Supercross Cup weekend in Stony Point, NY missed much better weather from the weeks before. Instead racers were greeted with balmy 18°F mornings and sunday was windy all day. There is something magical and quiet about being on the road when it is bitterly cold, but racing is a different story. It doesn't seem to have the romanticism and solitude that comes with waking up early and throwing your leg over a cold seat, climbing for miles and miles on silent county roads. Still, everyone had fun, raced hard and Tim Johnson showed everyone why he wears number one.
*I must also note that the Richard Sachs kits/bikes look superb. Lovin' everything about them.
